After breaking ground in 2012, Maggie Daley Park is now open in downtown Chicago, and that includes the much talked about "Skating Ribbon". Wondering what to do this weekend? Skate the Ribbon!
The sections of Grant Park previously known as Daley Bicentennial Plaza, Cancer Survivors Garden, and Peanut Park together make up “Maggie Daley Park”. The park includes such features as the Skating Ribbon, a field house, climbing park, Play Garden and Enchanted Forest for children, The Lagoon, slides, and an open lawn. Not all features are currently open, but while we're in the midst of winter, rent some skates, enjoy a cup of cocoa and skate the Ribbon while you have a chance.
